How do you move a 570kg glass panel?

For Sound Glass in the USA, the answer was to put a Winlet glazing robot at the heart of the lift, specifically the model known there as the Winlet 1265, and as the Winlet 575 in the UK. In their recent project, the robot takes the full weight of a 1,250 lb unit (around 570kg), allowing the installation team to guide the panel smoothly into position rather than manhandle it into place.

The Winlet 575/1265 combines a compact chassis with a maximum lifting capacity of 575kg, plus hydraulic functions that deliver linear, controlled movement for accurate placement into the opening. Its gyroscopic load control keeps the glass stable as the boom angle changes, helping installers maintain alignment with minimal correction even on large, heavy units.

For companies like Sound Glass, that means safer handling, fewer operatives tied up on each lift, and a more predictable installation process when dealing with oversized glazing.
