Glass lifting and materials moving machines ready to star at LiftEx

Hird Sales - Liftex 2024 - winlet 400tl and ergomover wireless

Hird Sales is taking two of its advanced Winlet glass lifting and materials moving machines to Liftex 2024 this week – with plenty of information about the many other innovative equipment it supplies.

The Winlet 400TL glazing robot and the Winlet ErgoMover Wireless materials transport trolley will take pride of place the Hird Sales stand at Olympia in London on 16 and 17 October.

Carl Cooper, Sales and After-Sales Manager at Hird Sales, said: “Winlet glazing robots and Winlet’s ErgoMover electric trolleys are leaders in their product sectors so we’re expecting a lot of interest in the equipment.

“Both are designed to simplify lifting processes and eliminate manual handling and, in the process, greatly improve productivity and minimise both health and safety and breakage risks.”

Glass lifting transformation

Visitors to LiftEx 2024 can view the equipment on Stand 8 and hear about Hird Sales customers who have had their operations transformed by using it.

The Winlet 400TL is a battery electric powered glazing robot, which can complete long shifts on one charge with no loss of power.

Its four powerful vacuum cups give the machine a maximum lifting capacity of 415kg, with a dual cylinder back-up system so loads are safely held at all times.

As well as glass, it can be used to lift other non-porous sheet material, including plasterboard, wood, plastic and sheet metal.

Also, its standard vacuum cups can be replaced with specialist ones that allow the glass lifter to lift non-smooth materials.

The Winlet 400TL has two hydraulically controlled boom sections, each one 500mm long.

This, in turn, means the glazing robot has a long reach – with a maximum extension of 1,950mm, at which point its maximum safe working load is 215kg.

It also has all-terrain capability and a 100% linear hydraulic side-shift function that ensures the load stays in the same plane during installation, so it can be placed with extreme precision.

Materials moving with minimised risk

The Winlet ErgoMover Wireless is one of a family of unique, high-performance electric materials trollies. It has two valuable functions for controlling materials.

Firstly, it can pick up products, for example plasterboard and plywood sheets, from trestles, and set down the materials on trestles, as well.

The Winlet electric trolley has a maximum capacity of 1500kg. Its long-lasting battery pack allows for a full work shift, delivering a highly sustainable transport solution.

It also has an onboard 110v mains charger, so during down-time, the electric material trolley can be recharging so it is always ready to go.

Using the simple-to-operate wireless remote control unit, an operative can easily and smoothly move the trolley across the uneven and difficult terrain often found on construction sites at a speed of up to 4 mph.
